New pals Malachi and Eve at Boca Bar
On Friday morning I was up with Eve at 4.30am as her teeth were hurting. After being up with her for about an hour during the night as well I was pretty knackered, but thankfully I had the day off work - so the day didn't feel as tiring.
I had a lovely day at home whilst Sam was at work and Eve was at nursery. The sun was shining, so I started tidying up our two small courtyard gardens and potted up lots of summer flowering bulbs. I bought some pretty, cheap primroses from Lidl and potted them up too. I just adore primroses - they remind me of childhood. My mum always planted yellow ones in our garden when we were small.
I cleaned the house, and generally got everything in order. I was in bed by 9pm happy and content, but with a sunburnt face (yes a new all time high has been reached - sunburn in February!)
Eve woke from a bad dream at 3am as she screamed out, not just a gradual waking. She had a bit of milk and promptly fell back to sleep, and then didn't wake up until 6.30am. What a blissful way to start Saturday morning, and without any cleaning to do.
Me with baby Lamorna who is 7 weeks old
We had arranged with some mates n their babes to meet at Boca Bar. I have heard about it loads over the years, but we always lived the other side of town so we never checked it out. Now it's just a short walk the other side of the woods, which was very handy as our car is still broken down.
Sam and I think that Boca Bar is a fantastic place. Thankfully one of our crew had booked a bay, as the place was absolutely rammed with families and children; lots of comfy leather sofa's to chill out on and the food was really tasty with pretty good prices. The food menu is really extensive, so there's a good choice for adults and little ones.
Eve slept for the first hour or so, then woke up and had a lovely time walking around with Daddy, and played with Malachi and straws.
